How to get to your hotel from the airport
To get to your hotel from the airport you have two main means of
transportation:
- Taxi: There are plenty of taxicabs at the airport. The trip
should cost around 20 Euros.
- Bus: Line 1 goes from the airport to the city. There is a bus
every 15 minutes. It leaves you quite near H. Colon (it is two blocks out of
the map) and practically at
the door of H. Palladium. The busses have a LED sign and a recorded
voice that announces the following stops. To go to H. Colon you should
stop at "Comte de Sallent" (marked in blue on the map below), and to go
to H. Palladium, you should stop at "Passeig de Mallorca" (marked in
green on the map below).
How to get to the University from your hotel
To get to the University you must catch the Bus Line 19. There is a bus
every 10 minutes approximately.
- From H. Colon: The bus stop is exactly the same one where the
airport Line 1 leaves you (marked in blue on the map below). It is a 20
to 25 minute ride to the university.
- From H. Palladium: You have two choices. The first choice
is to get to the nearest bus stop, just two blocks North from the hotel
(marked in green on the map below). This will take you through a scenic
route (you pass by the Cathedral, and the seashore). You will be able
to sit, but the trip is 45 minutes long. The other choice is to go to
the bus stop indicated above for H. Colon. It is a 10 minute walk (or a
20 minute stroll), you will most probably have to stand in the bus, but
the trip is only 20 to 25 minutes.
In both cases you have to stop at "Anselm Turmeda", the second stop once
you enter the University, and enter the building across the street. We will
have signs prepared to guide you to where the Workshop will take place.
